The project involved 16 universities and 16 enterprises belonging to HEPZA and was set for action for 11 months. The project was designed to upgrade HEPZA, making it a bridge connecting enterprises and vocational training centres whilst bearing in mind the demands of the labour market. Not only the Employment Service of HEPZA but also export processing and industrial zones, vocational training centres, youths and job seekers will benefit a lot from this project.
A survey on 16 enterprises and 16 training centres showed that most employees had to be re-trained to adapt to the real working environment. Finding highly skilled workers is a big challenge and moreover, one third of workers in export processing and industrial zones are willing to quit their job if they find a better one, according to representatives from different enterprises present at the seminar.
Here the BBJ Company Group linked in to transfer its Expertise in the fields of labour market and employment, initial and advanced vocational training.
